Dyson's 14-Year Struggle
Share
A story about how James Dyson's persistence through years of struggle led to massive success, including a full-circle moment with an estate property.
"James Dyson wrote two autobiographies. The first one he writes after 14 years of struggle. He had two mortgages on every single house, crying at the end of the night, but everything was going to be successful and he just wouldn't quit.
Fast forward now, James Dyson is 75 years old, owns 100% of Dyson company. The company is probably worth $20 billion, makes a couple billion a year in profit for his family.
Before Dyson vacuums, he had this company called Ballbarrow, which was like a wheelbarrow with a ball at the front. He did a photo shoot for the Ballbarrow at this massive estate that had been in England for like 300 years. 25 years later, he bought it. He said 'this is my place now.'"
