Family Embraces Van Life
Share
A story about how friends and family reacted to plans for van life during the pandemic.
"Before the pandemic, everyone was extremely supportive - it really surprised me. A lot of the people I was telling know me very well and thought 'Oh that makes sense that you would want to do that.' Maybe they wouldn't want to do it themselves, but it made sense for me.
Now during the pandemic, surprisingly no one has said I should postpone the trip or that it's not a good idea to do it this year. Some people have said they want to make sure we have a great experience and can go to all the places we wanted to go. Others have said it seems like the most socially distanced thing you could do right now - living in a van just with your partner and hiking around in places where there aren't people.
No one has come out and said they think this is a horrible idea yet."
