$46M Gym Business Exit

A story about how Alex Hermozi built and sold multiple successful gym-related businesses.

"He started with owning 3 gyms, but then created a company called Gym Launch - a course that costs between $16-20k teaching gym owners how to improve their businesses. From there, he launched Prestige Labs, selling supplements directly to gym owners, saying 'You should sell supplements at your gym. We did all the work, we know which ones sell best, and we're making them. You can just buy from us.'

Then he started a third company focused on lead generation for gyms, essentially helping gym owners get more customers through search marketing and lead generation.

Collectively these three businesses are doing $70-80 million a year. He recently sold 66% of the Gym Launch and supplement business combined for $46 million. In one of his talks, he mentions that over the last 5 years, both through the sale of the company and dividends, he's paid himself $72 million."
