Final's Pandemic Pivot
Share
A story about how a successful reusable straw company pivoted their business during the pandemic.
"This company called Final started their business in 2018 with the Final Straw - a reusable stainless steel travel straw. They did super well, generating $5 million in revenue their first year, launching during the anti-plastic straw movement.
They were working on launching a travel fork, planned for Earth Day, but because of the pandemic, no one really wanted a travel fork anymore. So they made an incredibly quick pivot to reusable disinfecting wipes. They created bamboo rags with cleaning tablets - you can use them, throw the rags in the laundry, put a new tab in them and keep using them.
They identified a clear need since disinfecting wipes became nearly impossible to find on Amazon during the pandemic."
