Stewart's Lab Leak Analogy

A story about how Jon Stewart was an early advocate of the COVID lab leak theory using a memorable analogy on The Colbert Show.

"Jon Stewart went on the Colbert show when it was still unpopular to discuss the lab leak theory - you would get censorship or videos taken down or flagged as conspiracy theorist for saying it. He goes on the show and says something about the lab leak, and Colbert goes 'Whoa whoa whoa, lab leak? We don't know that, there's no evidence.'

Stewart responds by pointing out there's a coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, where there is the Wuhan coronavirus lab. He says 'It's in the name!' Then he makes this analogy - he says if there's a chocolate leak in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is this random or maybe it's the chocolate factory?

He points out how unlikely it would be that the novel coronavirus just happened to originate in the exact same place where there's a Wuhan novel coronavirus research lab. The odds suggest it came from that lab, not that it just randomly occurred in that same area."
