4-Month Gym Commitment

Ramit shares a story about how he overcame his hesitation to start personal training in New York.

"When I moved to New York, everyone looked great - fashion wise, fitness. I'm like, 'Did everyone attend a class that I was absent for? How does everybody know how to hem their pants correctly?'

I lived right by a gym. It took me 4 months to get the courage to walk into that gym and say I want a personal trainer. It had nothing to do with money - I had money. But I knew that once I said that, I would actually have to follow through.

I finally got the courage after 4 months, walked across the street, went in the gym, picked this random trainer who happened to be walking by. He was actually great, a strength trainer, and I ended up training with him for about 5 years before I switched over to bodybuilding and training differently. That was like starting to pay for value, and I realized you can get better results, you can get faster results."
