Dead Eyes Podcast Triumph

A story about how a comedian turned his rejection from Band of Brothers into a successful podcast that eventually featured Tom Hanks himself.

"Years ago, Tom Hanks was the producer of Band of Brothers on HBO. There was this comedian who was an extra, and Tom Hanks looked at him and whispered to his assistant saying the guy had 'dead eyes' and wanted him off the set.

This comedian then created a podcast called 'Dead Eyes' where the whole premise was questioning why he got kicked off Band of Brothers. He interviewed people from the show, asking why they thought he got kicked off.

Eventually, he landed Tom Hanks as a guest on the podcast. When Hanks came on, he explained his perspective. Turns out, Hanks didn't really think much about it at the time - it wasn't even an issue in his life. He suggested it might have even been a mistake, like saying the wrong thing to the wrong person. It was just something he had dismissed, while this comedian had turned it into an entire podcast series."
