VaynerMedia's $10K Tours

A story about how VaynerMedia created a successful revenue stream by charging for office tours and consultations.

"VaynerMedia did this thing called the 4D's (Daily Digital Deep Dive) where they would charge $10,000 per person or per couple. You and your cofounder could go to the VaynerMedia office, and their head of people would have a discussion with you. Eventually, Gary would come in for like half an hour.

All you do is learn how an agency works and get to walk around the office and see where the departments are. You could go to the Eventbrite page and see how many seats they had and how many were taken. I did the math - if 7 or 8 of the seats are actually full, this might make like $10 to $20 million a year.

It was basically for small agency owners who idolized Gary V and wanted VaynerMedia to be what they aspire to be someday. They'd pay $10,000 to check it out, see how it works, meet Gary, shake his hand, spend 20 minutes there, and then leave."
