Kennedy's 9-3 Work Pattern

Sam Parr shares a historical example about work-life balance from Joseph Kennedy's life.

"Joseph Kennedy, JFK's father, who became the 10th richest person in America at the time, had an interesting work pattern even before he made his wealth. He would work really hard for 9 months and then chill for 3 months in Palm Beach, Florida.

This wasn't unique to him - Andrew Carnegie would take trips to Europe, which back then without planes was a 6-month journey. This pattern of taking significant time off was actually incredibly common among successful people of that era."
