A story about a successful business selling oversized custom beds to NBA players through Instagram marketing.
"There's this woman who has a business making beds for NBA athletes. Shaq has a 24-foot bed, and a bunch of NBA players have these massive 12-foot or 18-foot diameter beds. The beds are incredibly expensive, around $20,000-$200,000 on average.
She sells them all through Instagram. The way it works is an NBA player posts a picture of their bed, tags her, then people go look at her profile. She has an Instagram full of these huge beds, and people buy directly from her.
It's the perfect niche because NBA players are very tall and have a lot of money, so it's the sweet spot for them. These beds are so big that just to get to your spot, you have to crawl there like a small child because there's such a long runway. The rooms look ridiculous, but the whole family can sleep on there and still have their space."
