Winklevoss Rowing Bitcoin

Sam Parr shares a story about unexpectedly discovering a rowing club with connections to Bitcoin and the Winklevoss twins.

"I moved to a small town outside of New York City in Connecticut. I went to this rowing club to see if I could sign up for lessons. In the lobby, I see a Bitcoin book. I'm thinking, 'Why is this Bitcoin book here?'

Then I start walking around and see a case full of trophies of high school people who graduated from this row club. There's a picture of these two guys who are 18, huge strapping looking dudes. I'm like, 'You gotta be kidding me, why do you have a picture of the Winklevoss twins here?'

They tell me, 'Oh, their father owns this place. When they were young and into rowing, he built this row club so they could have a place to go.' That's why they have the Bitcoin book. The father's proud, so he just has their book in the lobby.

I was like, 'That is so funny.' This row club is founded by the Winklevoss father, and it's just doesn't seem real."
