Henry VIII Sparked Protestantism

Sam tells a story about how the Protestant religion was established due to Henry VIII's personal situation.

"The Protestants - if you're like an evangelical Christian, if you're Baptist, if you're like all these other different types of Christian religions, you're probably Protestant. Martin Luther came up with it, and in the 1500s the King of England basically had like 8 divorces because he couldn't have a kid - he was infertile.

The Pope was like 'Hey, you can't have these divorces anymore, this is bullshit.' And Henry's like 'No, fuck that, then we're gonna switch to Protestant because that allows me to get a divorce and I can have all these kids.'

And so now there's a billion Protestants in the world because he just wanted a divorce."
