Chen Blocks Shaan

A story about how Andrew Chen and Marc Andreessen blocked Shaan on Twitter after his viral criticism of Clubhouse.
"I tweeted something about Clubhouse that got viewed by probably 6 million people. I politely said I think Clubhouse is going to die. Andrew Chen, who was their first investor and discovered Clubhouse, blocked me. Marc Andreessen blocked me too - both of them followed me before and went straight to block without anything in between.
I was surprised because I had met Andrew before and we were friendly. I would have thought Andrew was somebody who, if I saw something interesting, I could send it to him and he'd appreciate it. If we saw each other at a meetup or party we'd say hello.
Sam told me Andrew's reasoning - he has a rule that he doesn't like negativity on his Twitter feed, and anyone that disrespects something he's associated with, he automatically blocks without reply.
What might have really upset them was that after the tweet storm, I went on CNBC and did a 2-minute segment about it. They're probably thinking 'Who is this guy and why is he on this crusade against Clubhouse?' My only response is - if I get invited on CNBC, I'm going to say yes. I don't think I said anything harsh or untrue to them."
