Musk's Twitter PR Crisis

A story about how Elon Musk publicly handled a situation with a Twitter employee who was unsure if they were fired.
"This guy goes on Twitter who's got about 150,000 followers and says 'Hey, 9 days ago I lost access to my work computer. I can't access Twitter anymore, I work at Twitter, I can't access my work computer, doesn't log in anymore, can't get into my email, can't do anything. I'm not sure if I'm fired, nobody told me I'm fired, but I just can't get into my email or my computer. I've emailed them, I've waited 9 days, got no reply from HR or anybody, so I'm guessing - hey @elonmusk am I fired?'
He tweets that out and says maybe if this gets enough retweets then I'll get a response. It gets retweeted a bunch because there's a whole group of people that love to hate Elon. People are saying this is another example of how poorly Twitter's being run right now - like if you're gonna fire somebody, tell them they're fired, that's common decency.
Instead of actually just telling the guy 'Yes you're fired' or confirming it, Elon sees this thing going viral and says 'What have you been working on? What have you accomplished?' The guy responds asking if he has permission to break his NDA to explain what he works on, and Elon replies 'Yes go ahead.'"
