Generational Car Frugality

Ben Wilson shares a story about his father's commitment to maintaining and keeping things for extremely long periods.

"The funny thing is my dad does this, but not out of environmental justice ideas. He's just crazy that way. He drove the same car for 22 years and couldn't bring himself to buy a new car. He always shines his shoes because he's owned the same shoes for like 40 years. That kind of got ingrained in me as a good way to live, and so I do this a little bit."
