NYC Morgue Trucks Market Miss

Sam Parr shares a story about his failed attempt to time the stock market during the early pandemic.

"My philosophy was there would be dead bodies in the streets of New York, and that would scare Wall Street. I thought someone would take a picture of bodies in an open van, people would flip out, and they'd say 'sell sell sell.'

That actually happened - there were videos of ice trucks with bodies in them. The day I saw that picture, I said 'I'm out.' Then the market took off a week after. So I'm still sitting on a lot of cash and I've lost a lot of money.

I haven't even logged into my accounts since the crash. I usually use Personal Capital and log in all the time to check my finances, but I've refused to look because I don't want to see what's going on."
