Franklin Mint Sale Success

A story about how Stuart Resnick built and sold the Franklin Mint collectibles business.
"Stuart Resnick started with a security business that he sold and made some money. After that, he bought the Franklin Mint. The Franklin Mint started by selling coins and eventually expanded to other collectibles. They became one of the largest advertisers in print media - if you opened up magazines like TV Guide, they were always selling coins.
He ended up selling Franklin Mint for like 2-300 million dollars when he was done with it. And you know who bought it recently? Tai Lopez.
The business model was selling commemorative coins and collectibles - they'd do things like Princess Diana coins or famous people that middle American moms care about. You could buy coins with their faces on them. They actually got sued over some of those celebrity coins.
After selling Franklin Mint, Resnick went on to build an even bigger empire - he now owns Palm drinks, pistachios, and other businesses, making it one of the largest privately owned companies in America doing multibillions in revenue."
