The Four Levels of Luck

  1. Level 1: Dumb Luck
  • Pure chance/random occurrence
  • Happens while standing still
  • No action required - luck finds you
  • Example: Getting struck by lightning
  1. Level 2: Motion-Based Luck
  • Increased probability through activity
  • Taking lots of action increases chance encounters
  • "Luck favors the bold"
  • Creates more opportunities through movement and engagement
  1. Level 3: Pattern Recognition Luck
  • "Luck favors the prepared mind"
  • Ability to spot opportunities others miss
  • Combines:
    • Active movement/engagement
    • Recognition of opportunities
    • Skills to capitalize on opportunities
  • Example: Recognizing NFT potential by combining artistic and tech knowledge
  1. Level 4: Reputational Luck
  • Opportunities seek you out
  • Built through established expertise/reputation
  • Luck comes to you based on your known capabilities
  • Examples:
    • Companies reaching out based on your content
    • Being sought out as an expert in your field
    • Getting opportunities due to established reputation
