The Four Levels of Luck
- Level 1: Dumb Luck
- Pure chance/random occurrence
- Happens while standing still
- No action required - luck finds you
- Example: Getting struck by lightning
- Level 2: Motion-Based Luck
- Increased probability through activity
- Taking lots of action increases chance encounters
- "Luck favors the bold"
- Creates more opportunities through movement and engagement
- Level 3: Pattern Recognition Luck
- "Luck favors the prepared mind"
- Ability to spot opportunities others miss
- Combines:
- Active movement/engagement
- Recognition of opportunities
- Skills to capitalize on opportunities
- Example: Recognizing NFT potential by combining artistic and tech knowledge
- Level 4: Reputational Luck
- Opportunities seek you out
- Built through established expertise/reputation
- Luck comes to you based on your known capabilities
- Examples:
- Companies reaching out based on your content
- Being sought out as an expert in your field
- Getting opportunities due to established reputation
