Mira Coin Windfall

Siqi Chen shares a story about unexpectedly receiving a cryptocurrency windfall that he donated to charity.
"Someone bought half the supply of a coin called Mira and just sent it to my wallet, so I had 500 million tokens. Once I tweeted about it and checked again, it was now $4 million. An hour later it's 8, a couple hours later it became 15, and at one point it was $20 million just the same day.
I got lucky. The peak market cap was around $60 million, and I had about $40 million of it. I sold 10% immediately just to capture something and sold a bit more in the liquidity pool. I got around a million dollars out, but I still owned 30% of it.
Immediately I said, 'I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but every dollar in my wallet is going to charity. This is nonprofit, it's not for me.' It ended up being $1.4 million total that we donated to a research lab for my daughter's condition.
Later, I created a test coin called '0' where I explicitly wrote 'don't buy this coin, it'll never be worth anything.' But because I had become the most watched wallet in crypto, within 200 seconds, people started buying it anyway. I ended up paying everyone back who lost money on this mistake, about $150,000 out of my own pocket."
