"House of Highlights did this really well. They basically took ESPN SportsCenter, which was this 30-minute television show, highly produced, showing you the best highlights of the day. Back in the day, sports would happen all day and in the evening or next morning you'd watch SportsCenter to catch up on the best highlights.
House of Highlights smartly realized they could just post those as 10-second clips on Instagram as soon as they happen all day. They could have just 2 people who like the NBA run this account and grow it to a million people. So Omar created this thing, and he ends up selling it to Bleacher Report who runs it now.
I bet whatever he sold it for was way too little. But that's an example of taking content that's not your original content, in this basic hobby, and turning it into a media property that you own. Then you own that audience and can figure out what you want to do from there."
