Dubai School Investment Returns

A story about how Nord Anglia's Dubai international school became profitable through rapid enrollment growth.
"Let me give you an example of one of their schools - a case study in Dubai. They opened an international school there in 2014. It took $7.5 million to build and open it. They break even in year 2/year 3, and then it starts making 55% net cash on cash once it reaches mature level.
The key is getting enrollment up to 1400-1500 students. By year 3, they were at almost 1400 students, almost at full capacity.
They convince parents by showing they have the best-run schools, their kids get into top-tier colleges, and they have a 90+ percent graduation rate. Their students do better than peers on standardized testing.
The way many students afford to attend is through corporate relocation packages. When companies bring employees overseas, they typically pay for the kids' education as part of the relocation package."
