Chinese "Checkbox" Tour

Elad shares a story about contrasting travel styles, highlighting a fast-paced Chinese tour group experience in Italy.

"I went on a Chinese tour group of Italy once. On these Chinese tour groups, they try to see as many cities as possible in as short a time as possible. It's very much a 'check the box' approach. For example, 'Okay, there's the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Check. We saw it.' You stop for 10 minutes and then you run to the next thing. That's very different from sitting in one place for a month or two and really immersing yourself in the local culture and experiences."
