"In December of 2016 I made $20,000 and I was like 'Oh my god, this is a thing!' What I didn't know was Christmas time ad revenue is way higher at Christmas time, and so in January I made like $8,000 and I was like 'Oh well, I guess maybe this isn't a thing.'
That was one of the things I learned throughout - the volatility of YouTube revenue. But pretty quickly it grew to become something I could live on."
