Fertilo's External Egg Maturation

Shaan shares a story about a groundbreaking IVF development he recently learned about.
"There was this press release recently for something called Fertilo. Basically, it was the first live birth using eggs that matured outside the body. If you've done IVF, it's pretty expensive and harsh on the body - the woman has to get hormone injections to get eggs to mature inside the body.
What Fertilo did was instead of doing that long, expensive, hard-on-your-body process, they can take an immature egg out of the body, do the hormone stuff outside the body to get it to mature, then put it back in. The first actual live birth just happened using that procedure.
If true, it's going to change IVF. For a fraction of the cost, fraction of the time, and fraction of the pain, we can do the thing we've been doing with IVF."
