"This guy Peter Levels was ahead of the curve on remote work. About 6 years ago, he created Nomad List and a remote working Slack community. He simply said 'if you're a remote worker, pay $10 and get into Slack' and he had like 6,000 members. I was amazed he made so much money just from a Slack invite.
Now Nomad List is doing $531,000 a year, halfway to their goal of $1 million. He's super transparent with all his metrics - he reveals all his revenue, shows how many customers he has, page views, everything. He has this cool meter on his Twitter location showing he's making between $2.5-3 million a year across all his businesses.
He's got about 8 different sites, and on all of them you can see metrics like revenue, daily signups, CO2 removed from the atmosphere, GitHub commits, everything. The guy's an artist who just happens to make money from his art."
