Tinder Manipulation Methods

A story about how the "Tinder Swindler" operated his dating app con scheme.

"Here's what happened - there's this guy who goes on Tinder with a profile that shows him as a normal-ish looking guy but clearly living a cool lifestyle - lots of travel, different climates, wearing nice clothes.

When girls would match with him, he'd take them out on dates, wine and dine them, making it look like he's this incredible guy. His backstory was that his dad owned a diamond company and he was the son of a billionaire. If you Googled, you'd actually see evidence supporting this.

About a month in, he'd create a crisis. He'd send a picture saying his bodyguard got attacked, then claim he couldn't use his credit cards because enemies were tracking him. He'd ask to borrow their credit cards temporarily, telling them to raise their limits for his "business meetings."

These women would end up $150-200,000 in debt as he racked up credit card charges. He'd also get them to take out quick loans, claiming his enemies were after him. It was basically a Ponzi scheme - he'd use one woman's money to wine and dine the next woman, running this scheme with multiple women simultaneously, telling them all the same things.

They said he conned women out of millions of dollars over time, using their money to fund an extravagant lifestyle including private jets and luxury experiences."
