Sam Parr shares a story about how a diabetes drug became a popular weight loss treatment among the wealthy.
"What's going on with this drug is people were using it for diabetes, and then a couple really famous people including Elon and I think the Kardashians said they took it. Once that happened, the rest of the rich and famous started taking it.
The woman from The Office, Mindy Kaling, there's a lot of people who think she's on it because she just lost a ton of weight. Then the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal separately each wrote articles saying out in the Hamptons and out in LA and Hollywood, everyone is on this drug. Everyone automatically looks 20 pounds thinner than they did 6 months prior.
It's been causing a shortage for the people who need it for diabetes."
