A story about how Shaan's public $1M crypto portfolio for the Milk Road newsletter dramatically declined in value during the crypto crash.
"When I started the Milk Road, I thought 'what will be entertaining to get people hooked to subscribe?' I decided to put up $1M and say 'watch, I will publicly invest this money and let's try to turn it into $10M.' It became a mission of turning $1M into $10M through crypto investing.
To be honest, we didn't even do that much. We didn't make very many moves. It just started with $1M worth of ETH and I think we made like 2 investments since then because I've been busy building the Milk Road, the podcast, and my other business.
ETH is down like 66% and all of crypto is down like that or worse. The portfolio is brutal - it's like a $1M is currently $250K or $300K is my guess based on where we're at."
