MVMT Watches $200M Exit

A story about how Jacob Kassan built MVMT watches from basic Chinese watches into a $200M exit.

"Jacob Kassan spoke at Hustle Con, this was pre D2C even being a word. He launched this company called MVMT. They were basic watches from China - they ordered a bunch and started selling them on movement.com. Then they made them a little bit better, but they were still not the highest quality watches.

He sold that company for $200 million. If you would've showed me this watch, I'd have said 'You are crazy, no one's gonna buy this, this is ridiculous.' But I've talked to him and he's like 'Well why not? People buy watches, why won't they buy mine?'

That confidence is awesome. I don't know if I have it, but I love it."
