Ring's Homeless Teen Success

Shaan tells a story about meeting an incredibly accomplished young entrepreneur named Luca who had an remarkable journey starting from homelessness.

"This guy comes in and I'm like 'alright what's your deal?' He goes 'So I went to miami or something and I saw him on twitter.' Going in reverse order - he brought in these guns, these gel blasters. He's like 'Right now I'm working on this D2C product, we're in Walmart nationwide.'

Before that, he was into crypto - he bought pudgy penguins, did like a hostile takeover/buyout of this NFT project for a million dollars. I said 'How'd you get a million dollars?' He goes 'Well before that I started this online ecommerce brand selling gold chains and grills. I sold my company to Shop GLD.'

Then I got one level deeper. He goes 'For family reasons, me and my mom were homeless for a couple years. I had to quit school in high school and make money. I went down the street knocking on doors trying to get a job. Got rejected everywhere. The last door I knocked on was a startup called Ring. Jamie was there in this tiny office. I said I need a job badly to help pay for family stuff, I'll do anything.'

Jamie said 'okay well I gotta box up all these orders, can you help me with that?' So he became the first employee at Ring, was with Jamie for a few years before going off to do his own thing. This was all before he was 24-25 when I met him a couple months ago. He lived 3 lifetimes of career epicness and just really interesting things."
