Body Measurement Photo for Shopping
Share
Sam tells a story about his unconventional method for buying clothes online that fit properly.
Summary: Sam created a detailed body measurement photo that he would send to high-end clothing stores to help him find the right size, which turned out to be surprisingly effective despite being weird.
"Here's what I did. I went to a bunch of websites and found the most common measurements that they ask. I created this photo where I actually just measured all parts of my body that are common - thigh, knee, calf, sleeve length, whatever.
For a long time, if I was going to buy clothing from a high-end store, I would actually send this to them. I'd occasionally just say, 'Send me the right stuff.'
And it was incredibly effective.
They're like, 'I suggest that you buy...' I'm telling you, it's weird, but it's been very effective. Very strange, but it's been effective."
