$15M Convertible Roof House

Shaan tells a story about visiting a relative's $15M luxury house in Vegas that changed his perspective on wealth.

"I'm staying at somebody's house in Vegas - it's worth about $15 million. What $15 million gets you in San Francisco versus Vegas is totally different. This is a personal resort. Walking in, I was trying not to trip into the koi ponds. They even have a bellman's cart because the room is so far from the door.

During dinner, something magical happened - the roof retracted, the walls disappeared, and we went swimming in a pool that surrounds the dining room while looking out at downtown Vegas. The house has a 30-car garage, bowling alley - I've only seen a fourth of it so far.

The interesting part is this house was previously owned by a billionaire family whose grandfather started some of the casinos downtown. After they sold it, they immediately regretted it. The very next day, their broker called and offered an extra million dollars in cash to get the house back, but the new owners turned it down.

I thought I knew how much money I wanted, but after staying here 24 hours, I'd like some more money please. I can be happy without this, but why can't I do this too?"
