Chemical Business Control

Anthony Pompliano shares a story about an extended family member who runs a unique chemical business with strict personal oversight.

"I know somebody who's an extended family member, he has a business where it's a chemical business and he mixes things to create the product. He won't fly anywhere, he will only drive because when he drives he can put all of the materials in his car.

When I was living in Florida, he showed up and said 'Can I just take over the garage?' I walked in there and it looked like a science lab, like a physics lab. He goes to the post office every day and drops the product off so they can ship it.

It's incredible what goes into building these companies compared to the tech world where we're just like 'Oh somebody wrote some code and operates 24/7/365, money keeps coming into my account because Stripe's awesome.'"
