$10K Basketball Bet

A story about how MrBeast (Jimmy) casually offered a $10,000 bet for a half-court basketball shot, demonstrating his unique approach to risk and money.

Sam Parr recalls: "Last year was crazy because this is when I saw that Jimmy was insane. We were all just hanging out in this basketball court and he didn't even make an ordeal of it. He was just like 'Hey Shaan, if you can make this half-court shot, I'll give you $10,000.'

He didn't even say 'if you don't make it I get this' or 'you only have 3 shots to make it' - there were no conditions. I was like 'What the fuck Jimmy, why would you make this bet?' And Shaan did it in like shot number 5 or 3.

This year, Shaan lost $10,000 doing the same thing with Joe [Gebbia]. It's one thing to lose $10,000, it's another thing to lose $10,000 to a multibillionaire. As Shaan said, 'it has a little extra kick to it.'"
