Christmas Morning Disappoints

Shaan shares a story about how the anticipation of Christmas brought more joy than Christmas morning itself.

"I just had this with my kids for Christmas. We did the elf on the shelf thing and the whole build up to Christmas day and the idea of Christmas morning and opening up all your presents - I got 25 days of joy out of that from them because of the anticipation.

Then on the day of, they woke up, started ripping presents open, they didn't even know which toy to play with, and it was over in an hour. Then they were like 'Okay, can we have cartoons with breakfast now?' and I was like 'Yep, alright I guess back to the routine.' And it was kind of done.

I realized these people are right - the anticipation might be more fulfilling than the actual event itself."
