Board Game Prototyping Overseas

Tim shares a brief story about pursuing creative interests through game design.
"I just returned from 3 days overseas with a game designer prototyping games and board games. That's something I'm trying right now, we'll see. I could do something that would be straightforward or predictable or reliably profitable - I could make a course, I know I could execute that and make it do really well. I could potentially create some type of membership platform or mastermind or something like that. However, I go for weird - if there's something weird that is a huge plus. You're not bending to the social expectations or norms, that's why they seem weird. And chances are if those end up on your list, either they're easier for you than they are for other people, or you're going to have the enthusiasm and therefore endurance to do it longer, harder, more intensely with greater purpose than other people. Those are all huge competitive advantages."
