Water Heater Contamination
Share
Sam Parr shares a story about discovering the disturbing reality of water heater contamination.
"I know people who have a Berkeley water filter for their entire home, and I started researching it. I saw one of these videos where they cut open a water tank - like a water heater tank autopsy. It looks like what you would see with an old coffin that you open up - a bunch of rotted skeleton bones. I don't even know what this is, and it makes you crawl.
I remember seeing this and thinking 'Is my water heater like this? Are my pipes like this?' I have to get one of these Berkeley water filters. This is particularly relevant for places like New York City where my in-laws live, where these buildings were built in the fifties with old pipes. After seeing these videos of water heater autopsies, I'm like 'I'm never drinking water from any of this ever again.' I need to find someplace to replace this."
