Dana White's $17M Casino Win
Share
A story about Dana White claiming large gambling wins at Caesar's Palace, with Shaan Puri pointing out inconsistencies in the story.
"Dana told a story last week saying 'Let me tell you something, I'm going to war right now with Caesar's Palace.' They asked why and he said 'For the last 6 months I've been playing baccarat. I'm up $17 million on them right now. I wake up in the morning and think how am I gonna win this war today. I'm gonna lose eventually because they're gonna win, but right now I'm crushing them.'
But there are holes in his gambling story. He says his rule is if he makes $1 million he walks, and if he loses he's willing to lose up to $6 million. He claims he's only lost twice this year. The math doesn't add up - if you walk away when you win a million or lose $6 million, and you're up $17 million, and you've only lost 2 days of the year, it doesn't make sense.
He represents himself as a skilled gambler who beats the house, but he's playing baccarat which is basically a 50-50 push game, and blackjack where you're down 49-51. There is no skilled way to consistently win at these games."
