Coding Champions Join Cognition

A story about the founding team of Cognition Labs, makers of an AI coding tool called Devon.

"These guys are ridiculous. It's a 10 person company that's raised $21 million. Amongst the 10 employees they have 10 gold medals from top coding competitions. The CEO Scott Wu was winning math competitions at age 12 or 13, answering complex questions before the announcer could even finish reading them.

The third cofounder, who's currently the CPO, asked the journalist not to explicitly state his Harvard enrollment status because he hasn't told his mother he dropped out yet. This is despite being worth tens of millions of dollars now. The journalist even wrote in the article 'I just want to let you know you've raised a wonderful son and this can work out wonderfully. It's okay if he may or may not be enrolled in Harvard anymore.'

These guys range between ages 20-27. Many people on Twitter remembered Scott from math competitions, saying things like 'I remembered Scott - he was the guy winning all the math competitions that I used to go to as I sat in the crowd wondering how on earth this guy did this.' It's just amazing that there's young people self-gathering into this group. To me this is truly like that Facebook movie, when they're just in the dorm room doing it. These guys are doing it right now."
