Pomp shares a story about interviewing Andrew Tate before he became famous and the strategic decision of when to release controversial content.

"I interviewed Andrew Tate and he definitely said some things that were a little spicy. I was like 'I can't release this interview' so we put it on ice. Then a year later, society and culture had changed. He went on other podcasts, said a lot of the exact same things, and people didn't have a problem with it.

It's interesting - he was saying the same things for like a year or two years, but culture became more accepting of some of the commentary, including things around vaccines and that type of stuff. People had more information to evaluate these situations.

At the end of that interview, he asked me 'What's the one thing you disagree with me today?' I said to him that everything he's saying has this kernel of truth, but then he extracts it and has this bombastic wrapper that's going to go viral online. He cracked a little bit, broke character and said 'Ah you're a smart man.'

The biggest takeaway was people don't become viral and successful without being highly intelligent. He understood human psychology and how the internet worked. His tactics have pretty much become standard in a lot of people's marketing today. He pioneered that structure of communication on the internet in a way that I don't think many people did before they saw what he did."
