FarmCon Led To Milk Road

Shaan shares a story about attending a farming conference that gave him a new perspective on the agriculture industry.
"We got the idea for Milk Road, or at least the trigger to launch Milk Road, at FarmCon. We went to a farming conference in Kansas City. We go in and the panel is talking about corn and wheat futures. I was stunned. I was like, 'These guys know what futures are?' And secondly, we're talking about corn futures.
Then one guy was like, 'I'm all in on beans,' and I was like, 'Hey man, brother, I'm all in on beans too, but I think for different reasons.'
It was such a wild experience. I had no idea. It was a totally different world. Literally like 2,000 farmers in a room just talking farming. I think it's really good to get outside your bubble. For a guy who lives in San Francisco and talks to tech dorks all day, that was a totally different experience. I should do more of that. That was my one trip last year. I don't go to Burning Man, I went to FarmCon, which I think is actually a more extreme experience, all things considered."
