$900 Glucose Monitor Challenge
Share
Sam Parr shares a story about his friend Justin Mares' creative business idea combining glucose monitoring with financial incentives.
"My friend Justin did this thing during COVID called wearable challenge.com. The way it worked was I Venmoed him $900, and I would have to send him proof that my blood glucose level stayed below 115 or 120. Every day that I sent him proof, I got $30 back. By the end of the challenge, if I had a 100% success rate, I would get my whole $900 back.
I actually screwed up like 4 times on accident. One time it was this particular fruit I thought I could have, another time it was like a raspberry-flavored dressing that totally made me spike.
It was pretty brilliant and Justin said it was fairly successful, though I don't know why he shut it down."
