"Scott Swanson, who used to work at The Hustle, was head of marketing at ThirdLove, head of marketing at Madison Reed, and Mike Dubow from Stitch Fix - we would all get lunch once a month. We all had pretty much the same customer but weren't competing.

Sometimes we would come out of these meetings and Scott and I would take an idea we discussed over lunch and it would make us an extra $100K the next weekend.
