Facebook's Secret Podcast Studio

Shaan tells a story about discovering Facebook's internal podcasting operation while trying to book a podcast studio in San Francisco.
"I used to go to this podcast studio before we built our own. I went there and asked, 'Can I get 11 AM tomorrow?' The guy said 'No, we're booked up from 11 to 3.'
I asked, 'Who are the podcasters using this?' and he said 'Oh, this is Facebook.' I was surprised and said 'Facebook?' He explained that they have an internal podcast they do for their employees. Facebook has tens of thousands of employees, maybe 50,000, and they have managers who come in and record podcasts about managing at Facebook that gets distributed only internally.
This was my first time hearing about internal-only podcasts that a company was doing. It makes sense - people want to put out content and training in different formats, whether it's text or audio form. That was my first exposure to these internal publishing systems that I had never really considered before."
