Aeropress CEO Success

Andrew shares a success story about hiring Gerard Meyer as CEO of Aeropress through a recruiter.

"The guy that runs Aeropress, Gerard Meyer, we found him via Ty [Burke, recruiter] and he was a guy who had run Sodastream US. He just wasn't on my radar whatsoever and he's one of our best CEOs.

When we bought Aeropress, my boring assumption was I'm just going to do really good online marketing and ecommerce - it's really simple, they didn't sell online. That was my one insight on that deal.

Now the bonus, the gravy, is we get to do amazing products. I just unboxed our new Aeropress Clear and checked out the designs for a couple unreleased products. That was the best day of my month. I love building great products and being involved with that, knowing that if we hadn't bought that business, that wouldn't have happened."
