Shaan shares a real example of how he's planning to scale his e-commerce business using strategic focus and clear goals.
"For my e-commerce company, we had a 1-year goal where we're trying to double revenue. We did about 17 million last year and we're trying to get to over 30 this year.
To achieve this, we broke it down into key requirements. For people, we needed to hire a CMO because I was doing it and I'm not the best CMO for that business - I'm not full time on it. We set people targets: hire an amazing CMO who's done this before, hire a website developer.
We also set product goals and financial targets. We broke these down month by month, checking in on the whole pyramid. Every month we review: our mission, our year-end goal, and the three internal things we need to hit. Then the score takes care of itself."
