DIY Fertility Alternative

Sam Parr shares a story about how his friend found a creative, low-cost solution to expensive fertility treatments.
"Let me tell you a related story. We have a friend named Kat, and she and her wife wanted to have a kid. Although she's successful, she's a frugal woman, and it was really expensive to do this traditional fertility treatment. We all have a mutual friend David, who's this wonderful man - he's like a 6-foot tall, good-looking, nice, smart guy.
Kat and her wife Emily asked David if they could get some of his sperm to have a baby. They looked into egg freezing stuff and it was really expensive, so they decided to do it themselves. They didn't have sex, but he would come over in the morning when they were ovulating. He would do the deed in the bathroom, they would get the sperm, and they had like a do-it-yourself kit at home. On the very first try, Kat got pregnant.
Now she's got a beautiful 2-year-old, and they have a wildly awesome relationship. David's like the uncle, and his parents sort of act like a mixture of grandparents and uncle and aunts. It's like the most harmonious relationship I've ever seen and everyone's happy with the ordeal."
