Smoothie King Phone Greeting

A story about how a creative phone greeting from a Smoothie King manager has stuck with Shaan's brother-in-law for 26 years.

"I was asking my brother-in-law over the weekend, 'What's your favorite job you've ever had?' He goes 'Oh easy, Smoothie King in high school.' He's 43 now, so I was like 'Your greatest job was your first job 26 years ago?'

He's like 'Yeah, no doubt.' I asked why he liked it so much, thinking maybe it was free smoothies or something. He goes 'No, no, my boss was this character.'

Apparently, every time the phone would ring at Smoothie King, his boss (who was like a 19-year-old manager) would answer by saying 'Must be Jordan about that summer league.' My brother-in-law thought it was so funny that his boss came up with that on the fly, and for literally 26 years since then, every time the phone rings, my brother-in-law still says 'Ah must be Jordan about that summer league.' And I could tell it just puts him in a good mood every single time."
