Baby Changes Reveal Time
Share
Sam Parr shares a reflection about how watching his baby's rapid development made him realize how short life really is.
"I felt this particularly when I had a baby because I saw how fast she grew. We're at the stage now where every 2 weeks there's a different brain. Just the other day she woke up and now knows how to high five, or little small things like now she knows how to mimic.
Then I'll look at photos of her just 3 months ago and she didn't even have really any hair, or the idea of mimicking wasn't even part of the equation. You go through this thing of having a kid and you realize that's nothing - it's going so fast.
I do the math and I'm like at the age of 40 when she's 40 I'm going to be 75, which means if I continue having kids for the next 6 years I'm gonna be in my eighties when they're in their thirties and forties. That just seems insane to me."
